Do not be afraid of this STL/MO company! After researching 6 companies and having 5 present with demonstrations in our home with high pressure sales pitches, we are so happy we continued our research and found Zen. After a few evening conversations with Dennis and receiving the quote, we decided Zen was the company for us! 6 weeks later- two friendly, trustworthy, experienced installers Eddie and Darrell started the job, replacing 19 windows in our two story home. The job was done perfectly, cleaning up after themselves and making sure all was done as expected.

We had eight windows, one patio door and two entry doors installed by ZEN Windows. Everything from start to finish went perfectly. Dennis and Rhonda are very easy to do business with; there was never any pressure to buy from them. The installers, Kevin, Eddie and Darrel, are not just installers, they are true craftsmen. They were very careful in our home, they put tarps down and cleaned everything up a when the perfect installation was complete. I give ZEN Windows my highest recommendation.

I am extremely happy with the process from start to finish. I was able to get an estimate right away without someone coming to the house. Super easy. I had several window companies in my house before deciding to go with Zen Windows if STL. What I’ve discovered in the process is that a lot of these companies are dishonest, offer low quality products or ask for astronomical prices. We are very happy with our Soft Lite windows purchased from and installed by Zen Windows. The windows are beautiful and substantial. Great experience, I’ve never had to get windows, and after the March 14th storm – hail damage, I needed the one side of my house done, 3 windows. We chose the Zen Nirvana by Soft-Lite we upgraded to solar low e on both inside sides of the glass to help with heat transfer into and out of our home. After a ton of research I believe the Zen Nirvana by Soft-Lite to be a bit of a hybrid in the window market today. While the outside of the window is a 100% virgin vinyl product it is also includes a fully foam filled frame and the frame and sash included a k beam reinforcement. The corners are fusion welded. The window is much more ridged than other windows we considered that were vinyl only. Soft-Lite makes all windows custom from beginning to end in their factory Streetsboro, Ohio.

Everything with Zen was relaxing and pleasant from start to finish! The initial estimate was so easy with no hard sale tactics or long pitches like some of the other estimates we pursued. He came to the house to measure our windows (less than 10 minutes) then once our windows were in stock, we scheduled with Zen and Kevin came back out and installed our three windows in a little over 2 hours. We had a very poor experience with another company when researching replacement windows and were a bit cynical of contacting another business. However, the process of obtaining a quote was indeed as easy as Zen Windows website makes it out to be; check out their website and watch the videos.

I completed their form with the number of windows, approximate size and the requirement that the windows must meet a minimum efficiency. I appreciated the space for comments. A reply was quick and thorough and above all easily understood and answers to questions were immediate. In addition, Dennis provided all the information needed should a permit have been required.

Once accepted, Kevin came out within a few days to take specific measurements needed for ordering the windows. Within just over a month, we received a call asking if the installation could take place within 48 hours as they had an opening. Ed, Jimmy and Daryl were the installation crew who arrived promptly and you could not ask for a more conscientious and professional team. They seemed to get along and worked well with each other. Care was taken to protect floors and carpet, the installation and operation of the windows was explained, and clean up was meticulous. I had planned to shampoo my carpets after they were finished and Daryl did such a good job of cleaning up the floors I did not have to vacuum first!

We had 6 windows replaced and opted for the Endure EN600 series double hung, Energy Star Certified windows. These windows were installed on a warm day in rooms that get the afternoon sun and it was immediately apparent that the sun gain was much lower than the previous windows. The wind is gusting today and there are no drafts!

The total cost was a bit above some of the other estimates but after our previous experiences as well as the ease of the ordering process, the personable and professional installers- much less the quality of the windows- it has been well worth it.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Zen windows. They were so patient and accommodating even when we asked for quotes three different times before we were ready to pull the trigger. They were quick to reply and answered all questions we had. Dennis is such a nice guy! They never hassled us, not once. The price was right for windows. I was very nervous and had so many questions and concerns. Dennis and Adam where very patient with me and answered all my questions in the ordering phase.

The day of the install Eddie introduced himself along with his coworker Darrell. They went right to work. I was still a bit nervous because I have custom window sills in my home that my Dad installed. I was worried how the installation would go. I was very curious and Eddie was very patient with me. My wife and I used Zen Windows recently and truly support their model after having done so. They provide quality workmanship, using, quality windows, at a fair price. We would highly recommend them.

Dennis and Rhonda are extremely friendly and super easy to work with. They make the measurement & quote process painless. They offer all sorts of options and never pushed upsale on anything I didn’t need. In fact there were features that I originally wanted that did cost more but they informed me of why those things were not necessarily needed (full screens vs half screens) or products that were not good quality (in window blinds) and were very informative as to why.

The employees that came into our home to first take measurements and then for installation were also extremely friendly and very courteous. Drop clothes were put down wherever they planned to walk all through the house, and there was zero mess that remained once complete. They were beyond efficient and it was apparent they were knowledgeable in what they were doing, no matter the circumstance (we had extremely old windows, of different types & sizes, removed that were original to the house).

Several options of very affordable financing are also offered. In regard to price, I had contacted several other companies, and they were the most reasonable for what type of window we wanted and the overall installation. In addition, a lifetime warranty is offered through the company, including any parts, labor, and service!
