I had multiple window estimates done. Zen Windows was the easiest company to work with since there is no in-home high pressure sales pitch. They were also the cheapest price point. You just send them window dimensions and they come back with a price. A person only comes to your house to get exact measurements after you agree to their offer. I had a 10-12 week waiting period before the windows were installed which was the time frame I was expecting.

My install was 13 windows and one sliding glass door about a month and a half ago. The work took place over two days and I am happy with the result so far. They replaced old wooden single pane windows so I am anxious to see some savings on my heating this coming winter.

The windows come with a lifetime warranty but I obviously haven’t needed to use that yet.

The only thing about the whole process I could complain about is that some of the caulking around a couple of the windows was a little bit sloppy but nothing that I wasn’t able to touch up.

I will update this review to include any warranty service on any of my windows if that ever becomes needed.

Price was 30% less than other quotes from Anderson Renewal and Window Nation. No sales presentation needed at the house. Loved the entire process. Installers did great job and love windows.

We just had our windows done by Zen. We had a few done several years ago by them and just loved them. This time, we decided to get other prices to compare and for the superb structure, there was just no price comparison to Zen. The installer did such a beautiful job, and he cleaned up after himself so that when he left, I had only to enjoy my beautiful windows and the amazing change in temperature that they brought to my home. We would definitely come back but won’t need to cause our windows are warranteed for life!

The Zen process flows exactly as stated in their brochures. It was seemless! When it was time for the actual install, scheduling met my needs, installers were on time and were extremely efficient. We had 18 windows replaced in the beginning of September. It took the installers 3 days to complete the installation. The installers, Jake and Chad were very nice. They told us every day what they would be working on and answered any questions we had.

At the completion of the installation, Chad explained the operation of the windows and how to install and remove the flex screens.

All the communication with the Zen Windows office was by email and a couple of phone calls. All questions for the office were answered almost immediately.

The windows look very nice and we are happy with the results.

Summary. Zen Windows installed 8 windows on the first floor of our two-story home on Dec. 9, 2022. After researching window installation companies in Central PA, we selected Zen based on their overwhelmingly positive reviews online. The installation project started on Aug. 17 when we called Zen to request a quote for window replacement. After selecting Zen, they completed in-person window measurement on Aug. 29, and we approved the Rendering / Order on Sept. 2. Overall, we are very pleased with the windows, the install process and Zen Windows. We strongly recommend Zen and are planning on using the company to replace our second-floor windows.

Value. 5 out of 5. The Soft-Lite windows are high quality and much better than the Anderson “builder’s grade” windows replaced. The new windows significantly reduced air loss on the first floor of the house (measured by infrared thermometer). The cost per window was just under $800 dollars, which compares very favorably to the $2100 per window installed by another company in one of our previous homes in the same area. The windows also come with a lifetime warranty.

Process. 4 out of 5. The process from end to end (order to install) took just over 3 months and was a little longer than expected but still reasonable. Two of the windows had scratches in the glass and we called to replace one of those after we cleaned the windows and determined it was a noticeable scratch (the other had a barely noticeable scratch so we are still deciding on whether to replace). Zen’s “simplified” sales and ordering process relies on the customer to measure windows prior to submitting request for a quote and eliminates in home sales presentations. The pros for us include reduced time and pressure. The con for us was not being able to see or touch a sample of the window; we did request this a couple times, but Zen never delivered.

Communication. 5 out of 5. Almost all communications with the Zen Windows team were through email and phone, except for the window measurement and the installation. All employees were professional and responded to us in a timely manner. The installation team was particularly exceptional.

Only choose Zen if you are looking for a Consumer oriented replacement window company with excellent customer service oriented staff, quality windows and affordability without the typical salesperson process. I’ve followed Zen for a while knowing that replacements will be needed. Their website noted process is truly followed from start to finish and after. Dave, Deb, JR & James the expert installer, are proof that dealing with an experienced localized company that’s large enough to obtain best prices while maintaining their customer 1st business plan is a plus. Prior to finalizing with Dave on line, I did invite a salesman from another company to my home. The nice BMW driving salesperson with his company pitch and little portable window presentation showed me how a window goes up & down and estimated thousands more than Zen would charge me, as Zen also sells Provia’s . I chose Softlite’s and am very satisfied with the window quality, customer service, and scheduling of my December project. A few snow flurries didn’t hinder the installer/James. He was there for install and completion of interior finish for all10 windows day 1 [1 at a time]. The second day was all outside for exterior sealing and finish.

I contracted Zen to replace 4 old drafty windows for me. It was about a 2 month process but given the holidays were in between there from start to finish it was probably about 6 weeks. Once the windows were available the installer came out in about a week and had them installed in about 4 hours maybe less. He was very pleasant and put covers down to make sure he didn’t track dirt everywhere, which was great because we had just had snow the week prior. They were very communicative about every aspect. There was no pompous 3 hour presentation needed. I simply told them I needed 4 windows. Measured them. Sent them the measurements. They came out to ensure the measurements were correct which took 5 minutes. The windows are great. They open so easily compared to my old ones. The price was reasonable and it didn’t change from the start to the finish. What they quoted me, is what I paid. I recommend them highly. Zen Windows was excellent from day one. I discovered them through a google search and after reading the reviews felt confident to move forward with installing 9 windows in our new home. They were prompt, professional, responsive from the ordering process all the way through installation. We couldn’t be happier with the results, it’s given our home a new character! Zen Windows did an amazing job replacing our old 50-year-old windows. The quote came in quickly with very good pricing, we never felt any pressure to buy and the installation team done a five-star job, replacing all 10 first floor windows in a short timeframe.

All our windows now look great inside and out, and they cut out so much noise. The Zen Windows team were professional from start to finish and we would highly recommend them to anyone.
